So I came across this site where they stated a 5D3 at half price. When I called them, they said that its because it comes with no manufators warrenty. Is this legit? Are products sometime that much less $ do to no warrenty? Should I trust them?

It is a grey market camera. It has a serial # that is not authorized by the manufacturer for sale in the country in question. Learn to spell for crying out loud.

No, not legit.


They are selling you a grey market camera and they will charge you an arm and leg for all the additional accessories that usually come with a fully warrantied camera, like the battery, battery charger, Canon “solution” discs, A/V and USB cord and if you do want a warranty, they will happily sell you one, but not from Canon. Good luck getting anything repaired if you need to. You must also consider what lens you want to buy for the camera. Remember that you cannot use any of the Canon EF-S lenses on a D5, D6 or D1 camera


If you do not have the budget for a Canon 5D, Mark III, you can either buy the Canon 6D or a refurbished 5D, Mark III
